How much budget is needed to start performance marketing
There is no single minimum budget because the correct amount depends on the platform, location, competition, expected cost per click, conversion rate, sales value, and business margin. Start with the maximum customer acquisition cost the business can afford. Then estimate how much traffic and how many conversions are needed to judge whether the campaign is working.
A very small budget may buy only a few clicks in a competitive market, which makes the result unreliable. The test budget should be large enough to run for a defined period, test more than one creative, and produce meaningful actions. Many small Indian businesses begin with a controlled daily budget, but the amount should come from unit economics rather than a generic package. Tracking, landing pages, creative production, and follow up capacity must also be included in the plan.
ViralBulls calculates a break even acquisition cost, builds a testing budget around realistic platform costs, and agrees on a stop or scale rule before launch. The first budget is for learning as well as results. Spending should increase only when lead quality, conversion data, and business capacity support it.
